The following article will show you, step by step, the process of configuring Sites within Terrand.
Introduction
To configure Sites, you must first access the Sites module. To do this, you must log in and go to the left column of the screen. In the vertical menu (you can expand and collapse it by clicking the arrow at the top), find "Settings" (the Gear icon) and select "Sites" from the pop-up menu.
Site Configuration
Site List
Once you enter the Sites screen, you will see a list of all configured sites on the left. They are divided into "Active" and "Disabled." You can search (using the search bar) and filter them. The data displayed for each site will be "Code”, "Site Type", and "Name". You can also perform actions on the listed sites.
Actions
- View (Blue Eye) - Allows you to access the site's details. Within this section, you can see everything you've configured, as well as the processes that were created and associated with it.
- Edit (Purple Pencil) - Allows you to access the form displayed when creating the site again, but this time to edit the information entered. The only difference is that the site type and parent site (if any) cannot be modified, and this is where we can assign external emails to the site, meaning they are not associated with any user within the business.
- Activate or Disable (Green/Red Checkbox) - Moves the site to the "Disabled" section, removing it from view for use in configurations.
- Delete (Red Checkbox) - Deletes the site.
Site Structure
On the right side of the screen, in a drop-down menu, you can view and configure the "Site Structure." Conceptually speaking, this will be the classification, in a cascading format, that will serve as a template for later creating and configuring the sites themselves. Clicking the "+" icon indicates that you are configuring or creating a "Site Type."
Creating a Site Type
This creation consists of a form with the option (not mandatory) to select a parent site from which this "Site Subtype" would be created. A field to enter the name which will be the "label" under which these sites are managed. Finally, you can add custom fields (from the "Add Field" button), which are Alphanumeric, Date, Options, Paragraph, and Location, in case the standard requests by the tool are not sufficient.
Actions
Like sites, site types contain actions, and these are the following:
- Edit (purple pencil) - Allows you to access the site type configuration form and edit the previously selected items. Except for the parent site, if selected.
- Activate or Deactivate (green/red checkbox) - Since they cannot be deleted, they can be deactivated by removing them from appearing in configurations.
- Import New/Edit - We invite you to visit the following article to see this action in detail.
Creating New Sites
After selecting the "+ New Site" button, which appears above the list, you will be redirected to the creation form. Within it, you will need to complete the following fields.
- Site Map (required):
- This will display all created and active site types within the "Site Structure"
