How do I configure People?

Below is a step-by-step explanation of how to configure People, along with a brief mention of Permissions.

Introduction

To configure People, we must first log in. After this, we must go to the left side menu and find the "Wrench" icon, accompanied by the text "Settings." Within the pop-up menu, select People.

People Configuration

People List

Once on the People screen, you will see a list of all configured users on the left. They will be divided into "Active" and "Disabled." You can search (using the search bar) and filter them. The data displayed for each user will be "ID", "Last Name", "First Name", "Email", and "User Type". You can also perform actions on the listed users.

Actions

  • View (Blue Eye) - Allows you to access user details. Within this window, we see everything we configured, as well as the processes associated with it.
  • Edit (purple pencil) - Allows you to access the form displayed when creating the user again, but this time to edit the entered information.
  • Activate or Disable (green/red checkbox) - Moves the user to the "Disabled" section, removing it from view for use in configurations.

Creating Users

To configure new users, select the "+ New User" button above the user list. This will show the creation form with the following fields:

  • Reference Image (Optional):
    • .PNG or .JPG format with a maximum of 300MB
    • Field Type: Upload
  • Email (Required):
    • Field Type: Text
  • First Name (Required):
    • Field Type: Text
  • Last Name (Optional):
    • Field Type: Upload
  • Code (Required):
    • Field Type: Text
  • Identifier (Required):
    • In this text field, we'll see what we entered as an identifier when setting up the business. This will distinguish between users within the same business.
    • Field Type: Text
  • User Type (Required):
    • This field doesn't allow you to select whether the user will be an administrator, meaning they will be able to do whatever they want within the business, or whether they will be a regular user. This will activate the "Permissions" option on the form. For more details, we invite you to review this article.
  • Custom Fields (Optional):
    • Below the fields mentioned above, all the fields we added within the business settings will appear, under the "Custom Fields" section.

Finally, press Save to return to the list or press "+ Add User" to upload and remain in the form.

Import and Export

It's important to clarify that, as with other parts of the tool, in the "People" module, we can export created users or import new ones. We cover this in this article.
