What is it and How to Configure Materials?
This article provides a detailed overview of the Materials submodule and a step-by-step guide on how to configure them.
Introduction
Materials is part of the Inventory module, considered a submodule. It serves as the foundation for managing all types of items that are stored, consumed, or handled within the business and require detailed control and traceable tracking capabilities.
Configuring Materials
To start adding materials to your business, go to the left-hand menu, select “Inventory”, and then choose “Materials” from the dropdown menu. You will then be taken to the Materials list.
As with all listings in Terrand, you can search specifically using the search bar and apply filters. The listed materials are organized in rows showing the “Code”, “Name”, and “Description”, along with possible actions to take on each material.
Actions
-
Detail (Blue eye icon) – Takes you to the detail page of the selected material, where you can also delete or edit it. You’ll also see the material’s stock details (showing “Warehouse”, “Currency”, and “Quantity” in a list).
-
Deactivate (Green/red toggle) – Allows you to deactivate the material so it no longer appears in configurations and executions.
-
Delete (Red trash bin) – Deletes the material.
Creating a New Material
To configure a material for the first time, click the “+ New Material” button in the top-right corner. This will bring up the “New Material” form, where you'll find the following fields to complete. Once filled out, click “Save” to finish the creation.
