What is and How do I set up my warehouses?

This article covers the Deposits section within the tool.


Introduction

Warehouses is a section within the Inventory module. Its function is to manage a business's warehouses, to which stock and materials are assigned.

How do I set up Deposits?

To configure a warehouse, we must access the Warehouses screen. Access it through the left side menu. After interacting with the "Inventory" item, a pop-up menu will appear in which we select "Warehouses."


Once inside this screen, we will see the list of warehouses. They will be separated by "Active" and "Disabled" and can be filtered. They will be arranged in rows, each showing "Code" and "Name." This also includes possible actions to take on the listed warehouse.

Actions

  • Detail (Blue Eye) - Takes you to the warehouse details, where you'll see the "Stock List" listing all stock loaded into that warehouse.
  • Edit (Purple Pencil) - Allows you to edit the warehouse name, code, and assigned users for alarms.
  • Disable (Red Symbol) - Moves the warehouse to the "Disabled" section of the list, rendering it unusable for stock movements and processes.

Creating a deposit

To create a new deposit, select the "+ New Deposit" button in the upper right corner of the deposit list. Once this is done, the "New Deposit" form will appear. Complete the following fields, then press "Save" to complete the creation:

  • Name (Required):
    • Field Type: Alphanumeric
  • Code (Required):
    • Field Type: Alphanumeric
  • Alarm Users (Optional):
    • In this field, we'll see a list where we can select or search for users who will receive a notification when any interaction occurs with the deposit being created.
    • Field Type: DropDown
