Creation of Stages and Sections - Processes Module

Learn how to structure a process in TERRAND, adding stages and sections that guide the workflow in an organized and efficient manner.

Introduction

In TERRAND, configuring stages and sections within a process allows you to break it down into well-defined phases, making execution and tracking easier. Each stage represents a key moment in the workflow, while the sections and fields within each stage specify the information that needs to be completed.

Properly setting up stages and sections improves organization, allowing you to assign requirements, scores, and conditions that will guide the process executors.
Below, we explain how to add new stages and sections to a process in TERRAND.

Steps to Create a New Stage

1 - Add a Stage to the Process

To start, follow these steps:

  • Go to the stages management section within the process configuration.
  • Click on "Add Stage" to include a new phase in the process.
  • A new line with the general information of the stage will appear on the screen.
  • Select the ">" command next to the newly created line to expand the detailed configuration.

2 - Configure the Stage Information

In this section, you need to complete the following fields:

  • Stage Name: Define a clear and descriptive name that reflects its function within the process.
  • Order within the Flow: The sequence in which it will appear within the process.
  • Score (if applicable): If the stage has a scoring system, a summary of the assigned points will be displayed.
Once the stage is configured, the next step is to add and define its sections.

Steps to Create Sections within a Stage

1 - Add a Section

Each stage can be divided into sections, which contain fields to be completed by the process executor. To create a new section:
  • Within the stage, select ">" next to the first section to expand its configuration.
  • Enter a descriptive name for the section.
  • If you need more sections within the stage, use the "+ Section" button and repeat the process.

2 - Configure the Fields of the Section

Each section can contain different fields, which function as specific requirements for the executor. These may include:
  • Text fields for entering information.
  • Selection options like dropdown lists or radio buttons.
  • Attachments like images or documents.
  • Electronic signatures, among others.
If the stage has a scoring system, the score assigned to each section will also be displayed, allowing for adjustments according to the established requirements.
